Lady GaGa hatches, Justin Bieber wins MVP, and Paris Hilton's looking for a cake thief

I don't really want this to become the blog where I talk about Lady GaGa all the time, but there's just so much to talk about! But she's not getting another post dedicated just to her - I'll also be covering two more stories which interested me today: Justin Bieber's win at the NBA All-Star Game and Paris Hilton's stolen birthday cake.

So, back to Lady GaGa - well she definitely surprised us at the Grammy's when she arrived inside of an egg and had to be carried around by a group of people; but something I wasn't aware of until today, was that she actually spent 3 days inside that egg! (OMG!!) 3 days?? Ermm, there's a lot of things I could say about this, but I don't want this post to get too long, so I shall just move on.... In an interview, GaGa said:
"I was in there for about 72 hours and it was a very creative experience, and it was time for me to prepare and really think about the meaning and get prepared for the performance. I really wanted to be born on stage."
Lady GaGa wants to be "re-born" in terms of her music career as she has a new album coming out called "Born This Way".

Now onto Justin Bieber. He's been everywhere this week - including the NBA's All-Star Weekend game. And congrads to him too - since he won "most valuable player" (as voted for by the public).

For the interested (and/or basketball fans like myself), Justin had 8 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds. His team narrowly lost 54-49.

The event took place at the Los Angeles Convention Centre. If you missed last night's game, don't worry, you can catch the next one tonight on the ESPN channel at 1:30am UK time.

You can watch a clip of Justin playing by clicking here.

And last but not least, I shall cover the (rather strange) story of how Paris Hilton's birthday cake got stolen. The cake was custom made for Paris' pre-30th birthday celebration on the 15th of February and cost $3,200 (about £2,130), and contained absinthe (a rather expensive, highly alcoholic beverage). The man who stole her cake afterwards bragged about it on Facebook and stated:
"I crashed Paris Hilton's Birthday Party and Accidentally the Whole Cake. I woke up this morning with a birthday cake in my living room. It's big. It's red. It says 'Paris'. And it's f***ing delicious. I don't know WTF I'm going to do with it."
Yes, I bet it was delicious. =P But small question, how did they not catch him? He claimed to be very drunk at the time, so I'm surprised he made it out of the party, with the cake and then back to his house without anyone noticing (and without dropping the cake!) Seriously, though, how would they not notice, there must have been tons of people there, did they just look at him and go "that guy is heading off with Paris' cake - nothing strange about that". Of course, Paris herself has still to confirm this story...

Hope you've had a wonderful Valentine's! + Review of iPod case

Heyy everyone! Huge thank you to my new followers, I know I don't have very many, but I started blogging a few days ago and I feel I'm doing pretty well :D Thank you also for all the comments, I enjoyed reading them and seeing everyone's response.

Hope you've all had a wonderful Valentine's (sorry it's two days late!) and even though many people don't count it as a "holiday"; happy pancake day ;) My favourite quote from a website about pancake day was: "Will you be my pancake this pancake day". Awwww! :')

So anyway, today's post is a rant about the iPod case I bought today. Quick back-story to this is that it was my birthday yesterday, and my parents bought me the new iPod touch :D I was really excited and decided to buy a case for my iPod to protect it. Specifically, I was looking for cases and screen protectors. So I went to Curry's and bought this case:
I do not own the picture, I "borrowed" it from the website.

I absolutely LOVED it and couldn't wait to "dress up" my iPod. As soon as I got home, however, I discovered the case didn't fit very well and easily came off; the screen protector had two stickers on it which are meant to be easily removed but are impossible to remove without the use of some kind of acid, and to make things worse, the screen protector (which came with the case!) does not stay on the iPod because there is nothing holding it!! OMG!!! I was so annoyed, so I did what any other teen would do and took my anger out on my parents + posted a Facebook status saying the designer of the case was a tool. (Ermm... apologies... I was quite annoyed at the time - I don't actually mean it!)

I will be returning the case tomorrow, and hopefully I will get my money back, or at least a replacement case (from a different manufacturer, please).

Sorry for the negative post, I just felt the need. My next one will be a bit more cheery (I hope). I'm thinking of blogging about the Grammys, Brits and BAFTAs... but we'll see how that goes! As for the time being, if you are an iPod/iPhone owner, any suggestions for apps? ;) Comment below, and also if you know of any good iPod (4G) cases, please let me know. :)

Born This Way - Lady GaGa

Lady GaGa's new single "Born This Way" was released today; and quickly went to #1 in 20 different countries (including the US, France, Sweden, Greece, Belgium & Austria)! The first single from GaGa's new album also broke records today, as it became the fastest selling #1 in the history of the US iTunes store! (OMG!!!) The song has also received praise from singer, Haley Williams (Paramore) and actress, Lindsay Lohan.

I think we can all agree when I say this song is a hit... but does everyone like it? The audio version was released on YouTube today, and one of the highest rated comments pointed out that the song sounds a lot like Madonna's "Express Yourself". Hmm, that is true - the beat/melody are very close and even the lyrics are sending out the same message. In the past, GaGa has said she was very inspired by Madonna, but is this a little too far? What do you think? Do you like the song? Leave a comment below :)

First Post =)

Heyy everyone! At the moment I'm just playing about with it to see how to design my page etc. And after I've had a bit of fun with that I shall start posting :L As you can tell, I'm quite new to this and so it may take me some time to get the hang of things.

Follow me and I'll keep you posted with movie reviews/previews and music/videos/gossip :)
